The difference

Slido inserts polling slides into the deck, then needs its desktop app on the computer you present from. Their limitations page says PowerPoint Online, PowerPoint Viewer, and PowerPoint Live are not supported. Tablets are not supported either.

If you present on a different laptop, that laptop needs the install too. Repoll is a PowerPoint add-in. The audience joins from a phone with a code, a name, and a work email.

The roster

The useful file is who was in the room. The free plan exports attendees, votes, and questions, up to 200 people a month. Results wear the account logo and colors from the organization name.

When to stay with Slido

Stay if every presenting laptop already has the installer and you want their holding slide in the deck. If the room blocks that install, or the deck is in PowerPoint on the web, the install is the blocker.

  Free Basic is 100 participants per event, with 3 polls and 1 quiz, for up to 7 days. PowerPoint needs the desktop app. PowerPoint Online and PowerPoint Live are not supported. Google Slides is supported. The public pricing page does not show prices without JavaScript.

  Free Intro is 40 responses per poll. The FAQ says responses past the cap are silently not accepted. Present is $120 a year for 700 responses, with no monthly price. Branding starts on Teams at $84 a month. A Live App can run beside Google Slides, Keynote, Canva, Prezi, or PowerPoint.
